"Figure and House" is a 20" x 16" oil on board autumn landscape by American impressionist painter Roy C. Kneeland. The work is painted in rich, dark colors and energetic brushstrokes, supporting the impressionist movement of light and energy. The painting is signed and dated "Kneeland 1926" in the lower right and is sold unframed. Framing options are available for additional cost if desired. Roy C. Kneeland was born in Buffalo, New York in 1891. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, he taught art at Trenton Junior College and at the School of Industrial Arts in Trenton, and retired from teaching in 1956. He was a member of the Art Student's League, New York. Kneeland died in 1982.Details
