Idyllic landscape of Moss Landing by Sherry Di Lulo (American, b. 1955). The water follows a smooth curve towards the horizon, where several boats are docked. The artist has used texture generously in some areas like the flower on the left and the water to convey a sense of depth. An underlayer of peach colored paint creates a glowing effect throughout the piece.
Signed "S. Di Lulo" in the lower right corner.

Mildred Vejtasa Fenner was born in 1911, in Adam, N.D. She was the eldest of six children. When she was 5, the family moved to Circle, N.D. Following high school in Circle, she attended Eastern Montana State Normal School in Billings, and became an elementary school teacher.
In 1937, she married Wayne Fenner, a mining engineer. They had three sons. She taught at Cardwell, MT until the family moved to California in 1952. They lived in Watsonville, Calif., and she taught at Salsipuedes Elementary School and Moss Landing...
