About the Item

A pretty and quintessentially English scene in oil on paper showing a man taking a stroll through a hamlet surrounded by hills in late Autumn. The artist has a keen eye for colour and uses colour to great effect. He also employs sgraffito technique to give texture to the areas of scrub and bare branches. The artist has signed to the bottom right corner and the painting is presented in a off white wash-line mount in a gilt effect reeded frame. Signed. On wove.
