About the Item
In this painting, I sought to capture the serene embrace of nature's transition into evening. Through dappled brushstrokes and a harmonious palette of greens and blues contrasted with warm earthy tones, I depicted the Kynok River winding calmly past a humble village. This scene invites the viewer to experience a moment of peace and reflection, reminding one of the quiet beauty that lies in everyday simplicity. Kyn is a rural locality a selo in Lysva, Perm Krai, Russia. The last rays of the sun caress the tops of the trees of the forest. A summer day is dying and the midge and mosquitoes are circling overhead. The coolness from the river is spreading around the village of Kyn.

Committed to the Russian realistic school, graduate of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, he aspires for absolute fidelity in reproducing the reality. 1988/90 A student of the art school in Krasnaya Presnya district of Moscow.1990/97 A student of Moscow Academic Art Lyceum attached to the Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow. His graduation drawings were illustrations for Academician Platonov's The Course of Russian History rated as “excellent". As a result, Kozhin was attested as having finished a full course of general and professional education.1997/03 A student of Ilya Glazunov's Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Moscow. Artist Bio:
Viktor Butko was born in 1978 in Moscow, into a family of artists. He often visited the studio of his grandfather, the famous artist Victor Chulovich, and watched the creation of paintings. As you may imagine, this has inspired him to start painting. Viktor’s first steps in art were directed by his grandfather and his parents, artists Nickolay Butko and Marina Chulovich, he then studied at the Moscow Art School, which is known for a high level of training. After completing his training at the art school, Butko painted at the Academic Dacha of Artists, created by the great Russian artist Ilya Repin for students of the Academy of Fine Arts. There he worked under the guidance of famous artists Alexey Gritsay and Tkachev brothers, which had a big impact on his creativity.
Viktor’s first solo show was held in the United States, in 2002 at the McCarthey Gallery, one of the foremost dealers in the United States for Russian Impressionist art. This marked the beginning of a long cooperation with the gallery. Later, in 2016, He took part in an international plein air event, which was organized by American painter Ben Fenske and art dealer Laura Grenning. As a result of this Russian-American Painting Alliance a large exhibition was held in the Grenning Gallery...
