About the Item
This piece captures the serene harmony between tradition and nature. Using oil, I sought to evoke the peaceful rhythm of horse riding against the historic backdrop, blending impressionism’s warmth with realism’s detail. It brings a sense of calm energy and timeless beauty, inviting any space to breathe tranquility and connection with the past and present.
Trips to the plain-air to the old Russian city of Suzdal brought me quite a few impressions, one of the strong impressions is horseback riding. On the side of the day I painted another study and a couple of boys drove past on horseback, discussing the impressions of this day.

Simon Kozhin
Committed to the Russian realistic school, graduate of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, he aspires for absolute fidelity in reproducing the reality. 1988/90 A student of the art school in Krasnaya Presnya district of Moscow.1990/97 A student of Moscow Academic Art Lyceum attached to the Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow. His graduation drawings were illustrations for Academician Platonov's The Course of Russian History rated as “excellent".
