Spencer Simmons
Spencer Simmons was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He was brought up around painting. His grandmother, an equestrian and Western painter, took him into the studio at a very young age. His father, a house painter, showed him the importance of good materials and craftsmanship. Simmons graduated from ASU with a degree in Fine Arts in 2015. Since then, he has been faithfully devoted to painting in a traditional manner in oil and watercolor. Simmons has trained at the Scottsdale Artists School and The Russian Academy of Fine Arts in Florence as well. Along with the love of capturing the likeness of a human being the enjoyment of capturing the essence of a landscape has become equally gratifying. Simmons now spends most of his time painting outdoors.
