This painting is part of Stanislav Sidorov's long running Umbrellas series. The piece captures the vibrance and warmth of an autumn day in the park. I like to use rain as a theme in my paintings because it is romantic and creates cozy feelings, he says.

Stanislav Sidorov saturates his canvas with the expressive color characteristic of the Russian Realist School. While he is a versatile painter, Stanislav prefers painting the small town charms found in architecture and urban environments. He achieves a textured feel by using the pallet knife to apply copious amounts of emotion.
