R. STONE Oil on Panel Painting Size: 6 x 12" (15 x 30cm) Outside Frame Size: 13 x 19" (32 x 47cm) Exhibited 1906 – 1909 Worked at the turn of the century, this artist painted hunting and coaching scenes in a style similar to, but better than, Philip Rideout. He frequently worked on canvasses or boards of 6 x 12 or smaller. He signed his works R. Stone and is referred to as both Robert and Rudolph, but no proof exists that either name is correct.
