About the Item
At 11 years of age, Sylvain Louis-Seize was already painting on the sidewalks of his Montreal neighbourhood. True to his early street art origins, Louis-Seize uses bold colours and abstracted shapes to create dramatic work. This landscape in golden tones of yellow, orange, and brown punctuated by bright yellow, turquoise and white captures early morning sunlight as it floods the Italian countryside. One of a series.

When success came ultimately and suddenly for artist Sylvain Louis-Seize (b. Montreal, 1968) in 2005, he left his construction job of 18 years and rode a wave that allowed him to paint full time. Exhibitions of his rich landscapes derived from an active imagination sold out to eager collectors.
Louis-Seize's artwork including large scale commissions are held in private and corporate collections in the UK, the US, Canada, Asia and Europe.
