the painting was created around the 1890's on panel
Thomas Hardy - Thomas Bush Hardy RBA 1842 - 1897.
Marine painter and watercolorist. Born in Sheffield,
traveled in Holland and Italy. Exhibited at SS 1871-97
(elected RBA 1884), RA and NWS. Hardy's prolific coastal sciences
painted in fresh and vivid colours, achieved enormous popularity.
