A spectacular oil painting of a cobbled street in Stockholm with figures dressed for the winter weather. City buildings line the far side of the road with slate grey roofs and timber cladded exteriors. Possibly painted from a historic photograph. The oil has been initialled and dated to the lower right. Well-presented in an elaborate copper-coloured frame with palmettes to the cove and delicate laurel, lamb's tongue and beaded running patterns. On canvas laid to baord.
