A wonderful c.1950 agricultural study of farm labourers harvesting hay in the summer sunshine. The artist has wonderfully captured the heat of the day and busy workers. This scene contacts beautifully with the natural foliage that frames the composition. their is another very fine landscape study of an old stone cottage to the reverse. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.
