About the Item
This is a vintage piece sourced by Williams Fine Art Dealers. The artist is unknown, though the signature appears to read "De Marini." We were drawn to this scene for its capturing of a quintessential European street scene. In the piece, people are abstracted to quickly rendered squiggles and dots, walking down a street dampened and shiny with rain. The gray skies are brightened by the colorful facades of the buildings that line the street.
We have paired this vintage piece--we would guess that it dates to the first half of the 20th century--with an ornate baroque-style gilt frame to complete the vintage and European appeal of this wonderful little piece. We have also secured it behind reflection and UV controlled acrylic to maintain the excellent condition it is in.925
