Good quality silver gilt gallery frame 59cmx68cm
Painted by Thure Wahlstrom (1908- ? ). Signed and dated lower right
Hilly landscape in sunlight.
Almost semi abstract in the treatment. Wonderful multi layered impastoed brush strokes and scumbling technique to create a diffused shimmering landscape effect.
Possibly a Mediterranean scene as there is a suggestion of a classical ruin amongst the trees and scrubland.
Signed and dated lower right.
Inscribed verso to the canvas (previous ownership).
Good condition.
