About the Item
Wonderful deco style original watercolor by listed Swiss artist Theobald Modespacher (1897-1955).
The Circus theme painting measures 6"H x 8"W. The frame is 9 3/8"H x 11 3/4"W.
The work is in the original frame and is in excellent condition. However, the frame needs some restoration.
It is initialed and dated by the artist lower right. The full signature in the artist's hand is seen on the verso.
Auction records reveal that a larger painting by the artist sold for over $20,000 in 2020.
