Hauntingly beautiful portrayal of a sunrise over a lake.
The colour of the sky suggests perhaps it's sunrise or sunset - either way the light looks incredible in this antique painting. The type of light that stops you in your tracks. The colour palette is truly beautiful and reflects the atmosphere in this painting perfectly.
The crackled paint on this oil adds to the patina, this is a wonderful addition to an interior if you are looking for an antique landscape.
