A small yet impactful mid-century modernist painting, executed in oil onto board.
The composition presents a scenic and inviting view of a seaside, lined with palm trees. In the foreground, some figures are playing on the sand, and a boat punctuates the left corner of the painting.
Executed in a semi-abstract manner, the artist has used the expressive qualities of rich colour and textured brushstroke to convey the energy and liveliness of the scene.
This oil on board is housed in a stunning wide-profiled hessian-lined frame with an inner gilt window. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
