About the Item
Victor Brugairolles (1869–1935) was a French painter as well as a sculptor. Though he is often remembered for his sculptural works, Brugairolles was also active as a painter, capturing scenes that reflect the natural beauty and everyday life of rural France. His paintings often conveyed atmospheric landscapes and scenes of quiet reflection, aligned with the late 19th and early 20th-century interest in realism and naturalism.
One of his known works is titled End of Day (original French: Fin de Journée), which depicts a tranquil countryside scene at dusk. This painting is representative of his style, capturing the soft lighting and restful mood at the close of a day, likely with a focus on the play of light and shadow that evoke a peaceful, almost nostalgic atmosphere.

In 1964, Don won the Venice Film Festival award for his screenplay, "The Soldier." Don Peters' Mean Machine design
Peters later helped design the 1968-69 Hanna-Barbera cartoon series Wacky Races for Iwao Takamoto and Jerry Eisenberg, as Eisenberg recalled: "Iwao designed Penelope Pitstop and her car... And then there was some guy named Don Peters, who Iwao knew from his days at Disney, he was a designer. And he got Don to do some freelance help, and he designed that car that Dick Dastardly had, it looked like a Captain Nemo-type car, you know, like a submarine. Peters then worked on animated series Hot...
