Gorgeous mid-century autumnal landscape of Sierra mountains by W.R. Rolls (American, 20th Century). Rendered in luscious tones, the Sierras rise triumphantly above the valley floor and rolling foothills. In the foreground, a grassy field is framed by a few trees. The field stretches off into the distance, pulling the viewer's eye towards the far end of the valley and the dark green foothills. Hanging above the mountains, a blue sky with light clouds give the impression of a pleasant summer day.
Signed "W.R. Rolls" lower right.
