A nicely executed view of the Boston Public Garden by American artist Arthur Clifton Goodwin (1864-1929). Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Goodwin lived and worked most of his life in Massachusetts and New York, best known for his street and waterfront scenes. Pastel on paper, signed lower right, double matted (one linen-lined) and housed in a decorative carved giltwood frame. Not examined out of frame. Dimensions: 12 in H x 18 in W, sight; 19.75 in H x 25.58 in W x 1.5 in D, framed. Ref: 810
