French Painter 19th century
Born on February 27th, 1824 in Nantes - Died on July 17th, 1895 in Nantes
Painter of History, allegorical subjects, genre paintings, Symbolist.
Pupil of Paul Delaroche and Gleyre, he began at the Art fair of 1847 and obtained the second award of Rome in 1853. He had a medal of second classifies in 1857. He carried out frescos for the church of the good help in Nantes (1858) and paintings of the chapel of Apostles to Saint Roch church.
