About the Item

With this figure painted directly from life, and then using reference photos, I made a deliberate effort to keep the colours muted and harmonious - hence the title - and I think I have done ok. I also wanted to bring in a level of abstraction whilst still maintaining the beauty of the form, and again, I think I have managed.
