About the artist:
Born in Chiusa in Northern Italy, Karl Gasser first attended the Art School of Bressanone (1963-7). He later studied with Conrad Bergmann at Düsseldorf's Academy of Fine Arts before opening a studio in New York in 1986. The work of Karl Gasser is held in numerous private collections.

Karl Gasser
Karl Gasser was born in Chiusa in Northern Italy. He first attended the Art School of Bressanone from 1963–67. This artwork titled "Graceness", done in 1997 is an oil painting on canvas by noted Hungarian artist Lajos Flesser, b.1937. It is signed, titled and dated in the back by the artist. The canvas size is 21.75 x 18 inches, framed is 23.25 x 19.75 inches. Custom framed in a wooden black and gold frame.The artwork is in excellent condition. The frame is in good condition, with a few scuffs to the gold. Please see the final two images for the imperfections.
About the artist:
Lajos Flesser was born on Aug. 11, 1937 in Budapest, where he grew up in the shadow of World War II. In his late teens he studied at trade school, concentrating on metal skills. His need of communication made him start boxing, and the success was long in coming. In boxing circles, Flesser became a well established name with a couple of Hungarian championships.
Then came the fatal year 1956, when Soviet tanks crushed the dreams of freedom. Flesser escaped and came to Sweden via Denmark.
In Gothenburg the well known boxing promoter Edvin Alqvist soon became aware of Flesser's capacity as a boxer and offered him a contract. His debut occurred in May 1957...

Joseph Zirker is a noted American modern artist, educator, lecturer that was born on August 13, 1924 in Los Angeles, California, United States. As a young man he Served with United States Navy, from 1944 to 1946.
He attended the University of California in Los Angeles 1946—1947. He got a bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Denver in 1949 and a master of Fine Arts, University Southern California, 1951.
He was a printer and research fellow at Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles, 1961—1963. Lecturer University Southern California, 1963. Instructor Los Angeles County Art Institute, 1964, San Jose City College, California, 1966—1980.
Lecturer Stanford University, 1981—1983, 1986—1990. All along his carer, he had numerous acclaimed shows in the U.S and abroad. He is known worldwide as an innovator in monotype and printmaking. His works are represented in private and public collections, both in the USA and worldwide, including:
