About the Item
Er studierte in Wien an der Grafischen Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, an der Kunstgewerbeschule und 1931 -36 bei W. Dachauer und K. Sterrer an der Akademie. 1936 erhielt er den Rompreis. Ab 1941 war er Mitglied des Künstlerhauses, dem er 1954-61 als Präsident vorstand.
Der Maler und Grafiker war auch Innenarchitekt und entwarf Fresken und Glasmalereien für Kirchen. Außerdem lehrte er an einigen Berufsschulen.
