Artist Statement
“The painting was started at the Viansa Winery in the early morning hours and finished later in the studio. I was drawn to the contrast of this line of old windbreak trees strongly in the foreground to the vastness of the vineyards in the distance. The air was still and cool with the sun just beginning to crest the horizon plus being there so early, I had the place all to myself.”
