Post Impressionist oil on canvas still life painting by the New York artist, Frances Joan Kruszewski. Initialed bottom right and dated 1942. In very good original condition; no restorations. Original gesso over wood gold leaf frame in fine condition. Overall 21.25 by 17.25 inches. Provenance: Port Jervis, New York estate.
A painter of post-impressionist landscapes and still lifes, Kruszewski was born on August 30, 1921 in New York City and died in Locust Valley, New York on July 18, 1971.

Studied under Edgar Whitney, AWS; Marion B. Brown, AWS; Paul Puzinas, Anthony Toney; New School for Social Research; Art Student's League in 1960s; Barbara Vassilieff; George H. Tschamber; Robert Brackman; exhibited with Ruth Baderian, Edna L. Kessler, John Rogers (1906-1985)

American Artists Professional League; Malverne Artists of Malverne, New York (former President of the group); Hudson Valley Art Association, Nassau County Art Association; Bethpage State Park; Pen and ink drawing exhibited at Metropolitan Museum of Art.
