17th Century Neapolitan Maestro Title: Still Life with Cuttlefish Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: without frame 48.5 x 63 cm - with frame 59 x 73.5 cm Antique shaped and gilded wooden box frame. This beautiful oil painting comes from the Neapolitan still-life production of the 17th century, which saw important exponents such as Giacomo Recco (1603 - 1653), Paolo Porpora (1617 - 1673) and Luca Forte (1600/1605 - 1670). The present exquisitely crafted canvas depicting a still life with cuttlefish and ham is to be placed within the Neapolitan production similar to the style of Giuseppe Recco (1634 - 1695) and his school.
