Colorful tarts, cakes and an eclair arranged as an homage to Wayne Thiebaud. Pat Doherty's delectable oil paintings draw on her experience as a former commercial art director and designer. She seeks out her subjects at farmers markets and bakeries and then returns to her studio to simplify the details into bright, graphic arrangements. Pat takes time to balance the elements in her compositions and establish good color relationships between light and shadow.
