A tall floral composition in oil, painted in 1983.
A delightful bunch of purple, pink, dark red and white flowers sit within a striking azure blue vase, with a white shell lying quietly at its base. The artist has painted in an expressionist style, capturing the loose and wild nature of the flowers and their leaves. The flowers and vase are set against a white background, which really makes the colours pop.
This wonderful floral oil is housed in a white frame which suits it perfectly. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition.
