This striking still life painting by Dennis Ramsay (1925-2009) depicts a rich array of objects arranged on a table top, draped in red cloth. The composition includes a wicker-wrapped demijohn, an hourglass, an open book, grapes and a wine glass, bathed in warm, golden light. The painting has been well presented in a moulded wooden frame with inscriptions and labels to the reverse. Signed by the artist to the lower right and dated 1960. On paper laid to board.
