This is from Stephen Mallon's series, "American Reclamation" which captures the abstract beauty within details of Industrial Recycling in the United States.
Stephen Mallon is well known for his photographic series of work "Next Stop Atlantic," documenting the repurposing of decommissioned NYC subway cars as artificial reefs and "Brace for Impact" Mallon's large-scale photographs, taken during the salvage of the fuselage and engine of Flight 1549, the "Miracle on the Hudson." Mallon's series, "American Reclamation" regarding the various means and forms that recycling can take is an ongoing series, and wil l be a big part of his upcoming monograph that chronicles all of his work of the last 15 years. Mallon's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, and his work has been written about in many publications, including National Geographic, The New Yorker, New York Times, Vanity Fair, Wired, CNN, MSNBC, Stern, PetaPixel, Viral Forest, BuzzFeed, New York Magazine, The Huffington Post, CBS, and NPR

Stephen Mallon
Stephen Mallon is a photographer and filmmaker who specializes in the industrial-scale creations of mankind at unusual moments of their life cycles.
Mallon is well known for his series "Next Stop Atlantic," featuring decommissioned NYC subway cars as they are retired in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean as artificial reefs, as well as his series "Brace for Impact," which chronicles the reclamation of the plane which was successfully landed in the waters of the Hudson River by Captain "Sully" Sullenberger.
Mallon’s work has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally and his work has been written about in many publications, including National Geographic, The New Yorker, New York Times, Vanity Fair, Wired, Stern, PetaPixel, Viral Forest, BuzzFeed, New York Magazine and The Huffington Post. Mallon’s work has also been featured on CNN, CBS, MSNBC and NPR. Mallon lives in New York with his wife and daughter.

This photograph was taken in India at the Ashram where the Beatles stayed and wrote many famous songs. The abstract composition of aqua and green captures the texture of the surface of a wall with horizontal lines highlighted with natural light.
Many of Sasha Bezzubov's thoughtful series have featured ruins: "Things Fall Apart," a series of photographs of destruction caused by natural disasters in India, the US, Indonesia and Thailand; "Facts on the Ground" (in collaboration with Jessica Sucher) which documents recent ruins throughout Israel and Palestine.
Bezzubov is a two-time recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship Award. Peter Marks (1935 -2010)
Peter Marks was born in New York City on January 18, 1935. A lifetime New Yorker, Marks graduated from the High School of Music and Art in 1952 and Amherst College in 1956.
After a brief stint as a graphic designer in publishing, Marks became a private art dealer and opened his gallery Peter Marks Works of Art, Inc. in 1960. During this time he specialized in the sale of Southeast Asian and Islamic antiquities and made many contributions to the field both as a dealer and an advocate of his profession. Above all, Marks was motivated by a strong desire to find great art and make it available to large audiences.
After retiring from art dealing in 2002, Marks transformed his Manhattan gallery space into a studio where he drew prolifically and painted large non-objective canvasses. This time in his studio was a happy one for Marks, who viewed this period of his life not as retirement, but rather fulfillment, a fact that is confirmed by passionate artistic output in the years leading up to his passing in 2010.
In 2012, Thomas French Fine Art acquired a large number of works by Peter Marks and now represents the estate.
Works by the artist are in the Swope Art Museum, Terre Haute and the Stanley Museum of Art, Iowa City...
