Christopher Petsos
Christopher Petsos is a New York City-based photographer and artist. He is known for capturing Light, pattern, texture, color and motion across the urban realm. Petsos believes that we see things through a filter of the self, a camera records the physical details of a scene, but our human eyes and subconscious self, are the interpreters that complete our view of reality. In his own words: “Throughout the process, I stay faithful to the underlying truth of the scene. My work inhabits the space between literal depiction and my emotional Impression of the moment. The result is hyper-reality: facts imbued with feeling.”

- Blue Moon Rising Tree Print on Glass with White Gold leaf in white frame frameLocated in London, GB"I am primarily driven by an exploration of colour and form. My objective is to bring an emotional is to bring an emotional element and aesthetic balance to my work." "It came to me in the middle of the night - as these things often do - that to incorporate gold leaf into the finished print would neatly encapsulate some of the elements I am trying to express. Its application would obviously have to be done by hand with all its attendant imperfections and mistakes. Kintsugi - the Japanese art of patching broken ceramics with gold - shares its aesthetic with Wabi Sabi." - Valda Bailey...Category

- Mysterious face and the eye in pastel colours Print with Rose Gold leaf on GlassLocated in London, GB"An image taken in Pushkar during what was to be a memorable trip and the last link with normality before the pandemic took hold. We travelled around India, the days becoming more and more precious as we got the sense of Covid's restrictive net closing in around the world. The image was finished some months later, while fully in the grasp of a second lockdown. The addition of gold leaf symbolised for me a sense of hope and the spiritual energy with which I will always associate India, and especially Pushkar." - Valda Bailey...Category
