About the Item
Golden light pours through trees creating intermittent shadows that dance on the limestone facade of a serene upper eastside townhouse. The shadows frame a bronze relief of a nude art deco maiden who is the centerpiece of an ornate balcony. The photograph is idle yet has an understated movement as it seamlessly connects art and architecture to the environment.
Signed, dated and numbered 3/15 recto, unframed, printed later, other sizes available. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. Color will vary from monitor to monitor.
Robert Funk is a photographer and was a New York advertising art director for Print and TV. He was widely published in the 1970's and 1980's.

Robert Funk
Robert Funk pioneered toy, doll, miniature, plastic thingies, and staged photography. He also photographs his paintings. Most of his work is done on location. He does not use Photoshop to strip in images. He doesn’t take photographs. He creates photographs and has works dating from 1973. He was widely published in the 1970s and early 1980s. Currently, he is engaged in a variety of photography projects. As an undergrad in painting, he studied with first-generation abstract expressionist Robert Richenburg and hyper-realist painter Janet Fish and then in Graduate School for Art History with famed critic E.C. Goossen. He went on to work as a Photographer, New York Advertising Art Director for Print and TV, Internet Pioneer, Art Collector, and Gallerist.
