Yvette Horner, 1989 by Jean-Michel Voge, Paris, France is a photograph of a musician In her bedroom where every day is the 4th of July or the 14th of July (French Independence Day). A contemporary color portrait of the French performer, accordion player Yvette Horner (1922-2018) who enjoyed a 65-year career in music. The celebrated accordionist gave more than 2,000 concerts and made over 100 albums, which have sold over 30,000,000 copies. In June 2018, the performer died at age 95.
This is an archival pigment print, edition 1/5 -- the photograph is signed, titled, and dated on the photo back.

Artist’s Bio:
Jean-Michel (JM) Voge (b. 1949) is a fine art photographer, formerly editorial freelancer for magazines, such as Madame Figaro (1982-2010), Le Figaro Magazine, Point of View, Marie France, Town and Country, European Travel and LIFE, Fortune Magazine, and AD Spain. The French photographer published a critically-acclaimed monograph on portraits of Europeans, "Figures of Europe," which include portraits of influential Europeans through 1990. Among JM's personal projects, he photographed the Surma tribe in the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, Africa and the Sumo in Tokyo. JM travels for much of his material including extended trips to Greenland.

Jean-Michel Voge is a fine art photographer, a former editorial freelancer for magazines, such as Madame Figaro, Le Figaro Magazine, Point of View, Marie France, Town & Country, European Travel and Life Magazine, Fortune and AD España. The French photographer published a critically-acclaimed photo book on portraits of Europeans, Figures d'Europe, which includes portraits of influential Europeans through 1990. Among Voge’s projects, in 2008, he exhibited photographs he shot in Ethiopia on the Surma tribe, which include Dandy and Tree among many others. Jean-Michel Voge travels extensively for much of his art today.
