Columbine High School, Columbine, Colorado by Don Netzer is a 22 x 17 inch archival pigment print, available in an edition of 15. This photograph features 2 cartridges with text along the bottom reading, "Columbine High School, Columbine, Colorado, April 20, 1999, 9mm and 12 gauge shotgun cartridge, 13 killed" This photograph is part of Don Netzer's series, The Lethal Beauty of Violence, which features portraits of cartridges from specific mass shootings in American history.
Don Netzer is a Commercial photographer who lives in Dallas Texas. He opened his photography studio in 1984 and continues in business today. After completing his military service in 1965 he received his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army 5th Infantry Division, 5th Military Police Company at the rank of Specialist 4th class. He then attended The University of North Texas and graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree In Advertising Design. After graduation he worked for several years at Tracy-Locke Inc. Dallas’s premier advertising agencies at the time. He later returned to The University of North Texas to study photography, and was a graduate assistant teacher of photography for two years. Don graduated from UNT with a Masters Degree in Photography, and a minor in Printmaking in 1975.

Patty Carroll is an American photographer who has taught and practiced photography since the 1970’s. Her photography is characterized as vivid and boldly colored. Where her earlier works include typologies and portraiture, her new work symbolically expresses the domestic roles of women, via the series, Invisible Women.
She earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois and in 1972, she graduated with a Master of Science in Photography from the Institute of Design at IIT, Chicago. Since receiving her MS in Photography, Carroll has been teaching photography at universities worldwide. She has been a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College and the Royal College of Art in London, among other schools. Carroll’s photography has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, The Art Institute in Chicago, White Box Museum in Beijing, and The Photographers Association in Ningbo, China.
