For more than a decade Elena Kalis has been creating underwater photographic images that have drawn an enthusiastic response around the world. At and around her base on a small island in the Bahamas, she develops underwater projects from artistic conception to post-production. Her work has been featured in print and web magazines worldwide, on numerous book covers, and at exhibitions in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. She has worked with brands including Samsung, Olympus, MGM, Air Canada, Davidoff, SLS Hotels, Atlantis, and BodyGlove. Along with her daughter, who has been appointed the first ambassador for the Bahamas National Trust, Kalis seeks to bring attention to the Trust’s conservation work and management of over two million acres of National Marine Parks.
