Born in South Korea in 1982 she currently lives and works in New York. Having graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a BA in Photography in 2010, her work has been exhibited in numerous venues, including the Empty Quarter in Dubai, KiptonART, New York Photo Festival 2010, and the Humble Arts Foundation in New York 2010. Just recently her work was presented in a large group show, Myths & Realities, at the SVA Gallery in New York, alongside the works of Simen Johan, Vera Lutter, Collier Schorr, or Matthew Pillsbury, to name a few. Jang has to date been nominated for seven different awards, including KiptonART Rising Award 2011, Print Magazine’s 20 Under 30, as well as having being selected as a FOAM Talent in 2011. She was a finalist at the Festival d'Hyères 2011, and returned to Hyères in 2012 to exhibit the result of a commission. Her works have been published in The New York Times Magazine, Dear, Dave Magazine, British Journal of Photography, and Foam International Photography Magazine.
