About the Item
'Railroad Depot', from Richard Heeps series taking its title from Neil Young's song 'After the Gold Rush'. It captures former American Mining Towns he visited on his journey from Las Vegas to Bonneville. Stopping in Wendover, Utah, he created beautiful architectural photography where the buildings become striking geometric shapes against the Crayola blue skies. All of Richard's works have a soundtrack which influence the artworks and are a great way to understand his artist mindset.
This shed is part of the historic East Ely Railway Yards, it was a vital part of mining communication and was used as a Stagecoach Station along the Pony Express route.
This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame frame fitted with anti-reflective uv70% glass. It is signed and numbered on reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Frank Schott was born in Germany where he spends nights shooting the great bands and musicians of the 80s, while attending the Academy of Arts in Cologne under Professor Arno Jansen.
His early photography work focuses on beauty and fashion, later evolving to include conceptual landscapes and large scale environments, while never losing the eye for details.
In 1998 Frank moves to California. He draws inspiration from the epic landscapes and distinct architecture of the American West as much as from his travels abroad.
