Tom Schierlitz
Born and raised in Germany, conceptual still life photographer Tom Schierlitz studied photography in Düsseldorf before moving to New York City in 1987. His unique viewpoint is informed by a discerning eye for details, managing to find striking visuals in the most ordinary objects as well as creating captivating images of cult treasures and mundane objects of desire. Schierlitz’s highly detailed still life photographs challenge the viewer to a new way of observing, revealing new details with every viewing of the large format works.
