Tony Kelly’s Off-Piste masterfully combines the worlds of high fashion and automotive luxury with a daring touch of the unexpected. In this bold photograph, a model is outfitted in a luxurious winter jacket and skiing boots, complete with skis, yet instead of gliding down snowy slopes, she stands confidently atop the roof of a red Ferrari Testarossa. The backdrop features majestic snowy mountains, creating a striking contrast between the sleek car and the rugged alpine scenery. The model’s poised stance and the incongruous setting challenge conventional imagery, merging elements of glamour and adventure in a playful and imaginative manner. TONY KELLY was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1975. He cut his teeth as a photojournalist, capturing the burgeoning celebrity culture in a city embracing newfound wealth. His voracious appetite for blue skies and sun-drenched panoramas drew him to Barcelona, where he embraced the "street voyeur" within. His quirky spin on daily life and the cultural idiosyncrasies surrounding him quickly became his distinctive signature style.

This image was captured on film in Paris in 1988, on the Carrousel de Montmartre.
The negative was scanned creating a digital file which was then printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta 315 gsm (Acid-free and lignin-free paper, Museum quality paper for highest age resistance and a popular alternative to analogue baryta paper) using pigment inks which are known for their longevity.
