About the Item

An original contemporary wheat pasted photograph from the artist's series "No Plan for the Future". This work is hung inside the gallery space at The Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology and a portion of all sales from the exhibition including this piece will go to benefit the Center which offers after school art programming This particular work is an edition of three, signed and numbered 1 of 3 on the reverse. The work comes framed in an archival frame presentation. No Plan for the Future began as an engagement with the public via instagram. Mancuso and D’Auria staged America’s iconic foods meeting their bitter end. The series of instagram posts and commentary began just after the 2016 election and eventually manifested into an installation of wheat pasted photography and sculpture. These sugary disasters captured and installed, echo the political climate of uneasiness as well as the role of social media in adding to the dissemination of unrest and misinformation.

(no title) from The Structure of Things Part 1
By Biff Henrich
Located in Buffalo, NY
An original Pigment inkjet print by American contemporary photographer Biff Henrich. IN CURRENT SHOW The Corridors Gallery at Hotel Henry Fall Show (no title) from The Structure of Things Part 1, 2017 Pigment Inkjet Print 40 × 60 in; 101.6 × 152.4 cm Installed in the West Wing Guest Room Corridor are works from Biff Henrich’s series The Structure of Things (Part 1). All of the photographic images presented were taken by the artist at night under moonlight, sometimes in near complete darkness. In many ways, the camera equipment was the first to “see” what is actually a nocturnal image, not fully visible to Henrich until he was back in the studio. There is a palpable quiet and haunting stillness in these images as well as a surreal quality thanks to the quality of light, reminiscent of Magritte’s “Empire of...

Challenge to status quo, 2019
By Tina West
Located in Hudson, NY
This listing is for the unframed photograph. Inquire within for framing from the exhibition. A NEW COLLABORATION Tina West + Tucker Robbins 2020 The Robin Rice Gallery is pleased to present a photographic exhibition by Tina West, featuring a special new collaboration between Robin Rice and furniture designer, activist Tucker Robbins. Jessica Kravitz of Exalted Alchemy created an aromatic experience exclusively for the exhibition. The installation was designed by sculpture Amy Pilkington. The opening reception will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. This is Tina West’s seventh solo exhibition at the Robin Rice Gallery and Tucker Robbins’ first collaboration with Robin Rice. Inspired of a serendipitous meeting between Robin Rice and Tucker Robbins on a rainy day in New York City, this latest collaboration welcomes an exciting new era at The Robin Rice Gallery. Breaking from the gallery’s traditional style of display, West’s photography will be creatively integrated with Robbins’ artisan furniture. Designed and built on the edge of the forest by indigenous people using centuries-old techniques, these products are born out of Tucker Robbins’ travels to remote locations. Whether woven textile, clay pottery or wood sculpture, these sustainably made products are materials that have been salvaged and refashioned into works of exquisite craftsmanship that are truly one of a kind. Found objects are essential in the installation. Boosting from an impressive visual flow, the installation discovers intersections between the works that can be seen to echo throughout the space. As West’s “Passion Lies at the Edge of Uncertainty” presents an image composed of dark negative space leading down to a snake skin on the surface below, Robbins’ “Snaka Waka...
