About the Item

In this evocative underwater photograph, a crimson dress billows like a delicate flower petal beneath the surface, creating a powerful contrast against a serene aqua backdrop. The minimalist composition embraces the ethereal movement of fabric in the underwater realm. The photograph's color palette juxtaposes a vibrant ruby red against soft, misty turquoise waters, while the figure's graceful pose suggests both dance and floating weightlessness. This contemporary underwater photography piece transforms fashion into liquid art, where fabric and form merge in suspended animation. Original gallery quality archival pigment print on archival paper signed by the artist, furnished with certificate of authenticity. Limited edition of 24. Paper size: 44x70" Image size 43x68" The photograph has been represented at: 2024 🇺🇸 Roth & Taylor Gallery (Los Angeles, United States) 2023 🇺🇸 Beverly Hills Art (Beverly Hills, United States) 2023 🇺🇸 LA Art Show (Los Angeles, United States) 2022 🇺🇸 Beverly Hills Art (Beverly Hills, United States) 2022 🇺🇸 LA Art Show (Los Angeles, United States) 2022 🇺🇸 Art San Diego (San Diego, United States) 2022 🇺🇸 Spectrum (Miami, United States) 2021 🇺🇸 CadFab Gallery (Los Angeles, United States) 2021 🇺🇸 LA Art Show (Los Angeles, United States) 2019 🇺🇸 Selection (Los Angeles, United States) 2019 🇺🇸 Artexpo NY (New York, United States) 2016 🇺🇸 Ken Blackford (Los Angeles, United States) 2016 🇺🇸 Bruce Lurie Gallery (Los Angeles, United States) Alex Sher is an award-winning American underwater fine art photographer internationally recognized for his distinctive depictions of feminine sensuality. Sher’s photography began to attract extensive interest in 2015. To date, his works have been exhibited in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and other major cities including the Louvre Museum in Paris. His first solo show was held in 2016 in Los Angeles by Bruce Lurie Gallery. Since his debut, Sher had seven exclusive exhibitions, participated in numerous group exhibitions and prominent art fairs. Sher's photographs are published in 78 magazines and book articles in 12 countries. His first photo book “Mermaids” has been published in 2018. Sher mastered the profession of underwater coaching. Bringing forth his technical and artistic innovations, he generously shares his techniques with his models and aspiring photographers.

Ortega found the model featured in these photos at an art fair where she was spellbound by her work with silks. The two met in Miami and brought to life a series of three photographs entitled, Liquid Passion, El Beso, and Poderosa Nereida. Within these masterpieces Ortega discovered her passion for not capturing poses, but motion and how looking closely at the in-between moments of life can bring to light undiscovered emotions. About the photo: Aldara Ortega spontaneously captured this image of a friend on a trip to the British Virgin Islands. One Love was created through the guidance of Ortega combined with the model's complex past with water. We tend to try and fight the tempests of life, but we must learn how to float and let things be. One Love blossoms...
