Ian Sanderson (born 1951 Scotland, died 2020 Spain) was a Scottish photographer.
Ian produced images over a 35 year career. For most he worked as both a Commercial and Fine Art photographer; during his last years concentrated on his personal archive.
Ian and his widow Nathalie have worked for many years with alternative printing techniques in their workshop, ISP, creating Platinum Palladium, Silver Gelatin, Lith or Gum Bichromate.
This culminated in a large retrospective exhibition in Barcelona which was sponsored by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation.
Platinum Palladium printing is a traditional photographic technique which precedes silver gelatin technique.
Many photographers have worked with it in the past as Irvin Penn, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Robert Mapplethorpe, Sebastiao Salgado o Ormond Gigli with its Platinum with gold leaf print 'Girls in the Windows'.
ISP Workshop continues with the work of Ian's widow to create archival pigment prints like this one but also rare and personalized photographs.
The original Platinum Palladium technique she uses is more advanced by adding another precious metal (silver or gold leaf depending on the desired rendering) that only a handful of artists in the world have the expertise to practice it today.
Silver or Gold bring longevity and rarity to the print but also a tonal range and depth unmatched by digital printers which are valued by collectors.

Often mistaken for a young Kate Moss, this relatively new Archive find is a sumptuous alternate shot to the better known 'Catherine Wilke' (also listed by us).
It has all the elements of a typical Slim, beautiful girls in bikinis, swimming pool, and cocktails.
This photograph epitomises the travel style and glamour of the period's wealthy and famous, beautifully documented by Aarons.
In his words, he loved to photograph 'beautiful people in beautiful places, doing beautiful things'.

David Bruce Cratsley (1944 - 1998) was an American photographer specialized in still lifes, portraits of friends, and life in New York City. He had a reputation of master of light and shadow.
Bruce Cratsley attended Swarthmore College, graduating in 1966, and then, in the early 1970s, The New School for Social Research, studying under Lisette Model.
Cratsley worked for many years as a gallerist at Marlborough Gallery before quitting in 1986 to become a full-time photographer. As "Bruce Cratsley", he exhibited in various New York galleries, like: Laurence Miller Gallery, Howard Greenberg Gallery and Witkin Gallery. Model, actress and writer Veronica Webb photographed by Drew Carolan - Coney Island, May, 1987. Veronica is wearing Azzedine Alaïa. A NYC native, Drew loved Coney Island as a kid; so when he started shooting photographs professionally, naturally he returned to one of his favorite New York locations for several projects.

Dew Carolan: In the early 1980’s Drew Carolan apprenticed with several top photographers including Richard Avedon, Gilles Bensimon and Bruce Weber before starting his own photography business. Soon after he made a transition into directing music videos.
Drew’s photography is also in the permanent collection of the Design Museum of London and his work has hung in museum exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, London, Beijing and Dubai. He has also shown in Paris and extensively in New York and California galleries.
