Condition: Oxidation on edges of the photograph
I was told that the oxidtion canbe treated by a photograph conservator.
In original frame, not examined out of the frame
Acidic matting, browned at the edges of the bevel

Arnold Genthe
Arnold Genthe was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1869. After graduating from the University of Berlin, Genthe moved to San Francisco in 1895. There, he established himself as a portrait photographer of celebrities. He also did a series of Chinatown genre — which was published as Old Chinatown — and scenes of the destruction caused by the 1906 earthquake. In 1911, Genthe moved to NYC, where he was a pioneer in dance photography, producing Book of the Dance (1916) and Isadora Duncan (1929). He penned his memoir, called As I Remember, before his death in New Milford, Connecticut, in 1942. Genthe exhibited at the California Camera Club, 1899, 1901 (gold medal); Society of Independent Artists, 1917; Paris, 1928 (gold medal); Staten Island Museum, New York, 1975; in the New York Historical Society; and the Oakland Museum.
