About the Item

Introducing "There is No Planet B" by Marcin Owczarek, a thought-provoking and manipulated photographic work by the Belgian-based artist. This piece is created on Fine Art Hahnemühle Epson Baryta Photo Rag 315 gr, measuring 26 x 39 inches (66.04 x 99.06 cm). The artwork is listed for $2,800.00. Shipped unframed, and in a tube. In this captivating composition, the left side/middle of the artwork features a Grizzly Bear carrying two cubs on their back, alongside a house and a crescent moon with a face. On the right side of the composition, a thought-provoking juxtaposition unfolds. A drone and a TV engulfed in flames are depicted, with the space shuttle launching on the TV screen. The TV also bears an image of a bird. To the far right, a person in a hazmat-type suit is seen spraying something on a green plant. "There is No Planet B" challenges viewers to reflect on pressing environmental issues and human impact on the Earth. Through the clever manipulation of photographic elements, Marcin Owczarek presents a powerful visual narrative that merges nature and human-made elements, provoking thought on the consequences of our actions. This artwork comes in four editions, each limited to 10 prints, and offered in different sizes and formats: 1. Photography on Fine Art Hahnemühle Epson Baryta Photo Rag 315 gr. 26 x 39 in (66.04 x 99.06 cm) 2. Photography on Fine Art Hahnemühle Epson Baryta Photo Rag 315 gr. 40 x 60 in (101.60 x 152.40 cm) 3. Photography on Fine Art Hahnemühle Epson Baryta Photo Rag 315 gr. 40 x 60 in (101.60 x 152.40 cm) In the artist's statement, Marcin Owczarek sheds light on the symbolic significance of the Grizzly Bear, emphasizing its associations with strength, protection, and harmony with nature. The artwork's portrayal of the bear as a guardian and protector reflects its vital role in the ecosystem. "There is No Planet B" urges viewers to contemplate the delicate balance between nature and human existence. Through this artful expression, Owczarek calls for a deeper connection to the Earth and a sense of responsibility in preserving its beauty and biodiversity. The piece serves as a powerful reminder of the urgency in safeguarding our planet for future generations. Artist Statement: Bear is one of the most ancient worshiped animals. Bears were perceived as incarnations of supernatural beings carrying the magic of nature and mystery. Bear is associated with wildness, strength, nobility, healing, warrior spirit, and fighting courage. Bears are ultimate and fearless guardians when it comes to protecting their young. As a Spirit Animal, Bear manifests primal forces of nature, and the raw energy that lies within us as an animal of the forest reminds us to stay connected to the Earth. Bear teaches us how to survive in harsh conditions and trust our instincts. Bear plays a vital role in the ecosystem because he disperses seeds protecting the environment and biodiversity. Because of the winter hibernation, this creature becomes a symbol of rest, silence, and serenity. - Marcin Owczarek
