At dusk in Manhattan, a restaurant facade turns red and yellow from the exterior neon light. Veteran street photographer Mitchell Funk captures a moment when the snowy skies open up in the distance and blue appears to contrast with the red building. The work is signed dated and numbered 3/15 lower right recto, other sizes available, unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper. The color will vary from monitor to monitor.

Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
