The Chrysler Building is not only ever-present, but its uniquely shaped spire attracts the eye unlike any other structure. "Wherever You Look, You See The Chrysler Building: Central Park Reservoir" is an ongoing project by Photographer Mitchell Funk that started 51 years ago. The present image is defined by a soft pastel palette accompanied by blossoming trees and shimmering light as it dances on the waters of the Central Park Reservoir. In the far right corner, poking it's head above an unsightly boxy hi-rise is the elegant iconic spire of the Chrysler Building.
The work is signed, dated, and numbered 3/15, lower right recto. printed later , Other sizes are available and the fine art photograph is unframed. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. The uploaded video on 1stDibs is coming up a bit off color. Refer to the still images for more accurate color

Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
