This one of a kind photo arrangement on 100% rag paper by Candice CMC measures 39x31". Framed size is 46x38". The Photographic arrangements of Candice CMC receive an immediate response on the part of the viewer. The art consists of 616 extremely sharp images of donuts, Candice CMC uses the the donuts as her palate, the same as if she was creating the portrait with oil paints. Candice first photographs the donuts and then studies the characteristics of each so that she can arrange them according to their tones, colors, values and intensity to create the iconic portrait. She chooses the correct placement of just the right donut for each area of the artwork. The art was created to appear as a pop art image of hundreds of random donuts. The WOW factor comes when you go to look at the artwork through a camera and see the donuts small and the portrait appears. At the gallery, collectors come in and see Candice CMC's donuts and say, we love donuts and then we tell them to take a picture of it with their phone, they hold up their phone and we immediately hear Oh Wow!
Born and raised in New York and residing in Southampton Candice CMC's art can found in numerous collections worldwide. By photographing hundreds of enticing donuts in varying flavors and colors and using them as her palette, she has created iconic portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Einstein, Alfred E. Neuman, Van Gogh, and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, among others. By composing these portraits, Candice is forging a unique style of photography and creating unique, one of a kind, works of art.
Candice CMC's work has been featured in prestigious Art Fairs in Miami , New York, Los Angeles, Santa Fe and Palm Beach as well as many distinguished galleries. In 2019 she had her first Museum Exhibition in Florida.

Candice CMC
At a distance, the portraits created by Candice CMC are merely Pop art-informed depictions of iconic celebrities and tributes to the work of revered artists such as Picasso and Vermeer. A closer look, however, reveals a careful arrangement of sweets and delicious treats. The New York-based artist’s pieces are made up of hundreds of sharply focused images of everyone’s favorite coffee accompaniment: doughnuts.
In what could be considered doughnut Pointillism with a meticulous approach reminiscent of Chuck Close’s work, each pastry in Candice CMC’s portraits is photographed separately and then studied for its color, tone and intensity. The artist then places each image in an evenly spaced grid to make up the desired portrait.
Some of Candice CMC's large-scale compositions include images of over 1,000 doughnuts with glazes, sprinkles, frosting and other tantalizing toppings. Over the years, she has focused on a wide range of subjects such as Albert Einstein, Marylin Monroe, Batman villain the Joker and Vincent van Gogh.
Candice CMC’s work has been presented at fairs and galleries around the United States, including Claude’s Gallery in Southampton, Art Market Hamptons and the White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton. Her work is held in corporate and private collections all over the world.
