About the Item

This is an original lithograph poster created for Achille Perilli’s 1973 exhibition Works on Paper at Marlborough Galerie in Zürich. A leading figure in postwar Italian abstraction, Perilli is known for his dynamic exploration of geometric instability and spatial paradox. In this composition, Perilli presents a vivid red background against which fragmented geometric forms unfold. One structure resembles a box opening into a fourth dimension, while another features a rectangle piercing a tilted square, rendered in soft tones of pink and purple. The result is a layered visual field where planes shift and perspective collapses—hallmarks of Perilli’s intellectual and expressive approach to abstraction. Bold, cerebral, and visually captivating, this poster embodies Perilli’s fascination with architectural space, mathematical irrationality, and color as a structural force. A striking piece of exhibition ephemera from a key moment in European modernism. Shipping and Handling: We ship worldwide.
