About the Item

Lithograph, 1976 Handsigned by the artist in pencil and numbered 10/100 Publisher : Jacques Putman, Paris Printer : Pierre Badey, Paris Catalog : [Mason Putman 248, p. 63] 74.00 cm. x 54.00 cm. 29.13 in. x 21.26 in. (paper) 74.00 cm. x 54.00 cm. 29.13 in. x 21.26 in. (image) Lithograph, six colors, 100 prints on Arches paper, numbered and hand-signed by the artist. This lithograph illustrates the unique way in which Bram Van Velde manipulates color: here, metallic blue becomes a nocturnal landscape, almost palpable. It simultaneously envelops, constrains and liberates. Between incisive black lines and luminous white patches, the blue seems to live, thicken and shrink. The artist gives the silence of the night a visual texture. Certificate of authenticity LCD7451
